More about the Designer

I originally trained as an architect. Whilst living abroad, I had the opportunity to redirect my career and study the skills necessary to make jewellery. I was then able to combine the new skills acquired with the design skills gained previously. This has resulted in jewellery which is not literally architectural, but is concerned with the interaction of lines and shapes together with the play of void against solid spaces. I apply a semi-matt lustre to most pieces, which I feel enhances the geometric shapes. My overall aim is to create jewellery that is enjoyable to wear and has a harmonious and timeless quality.

The collection, although consisting of a number of different lines, has a cohesive feel to it. Many pieces, although part of a specific line, are unique. This means that, in some cases, similar pieces can be purchased but are never identical. I can carry out design and make commissions, if a special piece is required.
