Project: Refurbishment of
apartment, Richmond The brief: To refurbish and produce the interior design of the flat to bring it into the 21st century. The solution: The main priority was to remodel the bathroom and add a separate shower. This was achieved by using part of the corridor which had previously been dead space. In the centre of the bathroom, there was a duct housing the hot water which could not be relocated; therefore this was incorporated into the design by acting as a dividing wall between the bathroom and shower. The lighting was an important element in the project, especially in the bedrooms and study, where there was no overhead lighting. The flat was redecorated, with new curtains and blinds throughout and new wardrobe doors in the main bedroom. |
